Kat - I think there are few things as enchanting as flowers growing in unexpected places.  Your picture is an example of that!

Richard... nope, I just think it is spring in the desert.  Isn't it amazing?  I'm not a desert fan, but I love "color" and "flowers."

Kat,  Great photo.  I'm so impressed with how much you blog.  You are consistent and I always enjoy what you write and your photos.  I've been out of town in New York and just got back - didn't have much time to be on Active Rain. 

Debi: The desert really is amazing... I wouldn't want to live there, but I appreciate its beauty and wonder.

Vicki: My passion is writing, that is why I write so much. BUT, I need to also concentrate on some of my "stuff" that needs editing and get it out to publishers. Blogging, for me, is so much fun.

Oh thank you....I was wondering if the flowers were blooming up there yet.  Last year about this time there was a patch about a mile or so just full of purple flowers...everywhere the eye could see.  It was so beautiful and mostly because it was unexpected.  Different parts of the Desert out there get different flowers :)  Thank you so much now I can make the drive early enough to try to get some pictures.
