A little history about the company I am proud to be affiliated with, WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE
- John W. Jacobi founded WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE in 1972, when he purchase of an eight-agent
office in the Seattle neighborhood of WINDERMERE, WA. The company headquarters are still at this location. - In 1989, The Windermere Foundation was created to help fight homelessness. This is a non-profit organization.
- 1993, WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE grows to 100 offices. They expand to Idaho, Western Canada and Oregon.
- 2000, the company opens its first affiliates in AZ, Montana and Nevada. Their network expands to Southern CA, Silicon Valley and the Monterrey Peninsula.
- In 2005, the first WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE affiliate in Los Angeles, California opens its doors. The WINDERMERE REAL ESTATE network expands into Utah, bringing the entire network to more than 290 affiliates.
- WINDERMERE'S mission statement is; We are a network of real estate businesses and a community of people who seek trust and mutual respect in each of our relationships. AND, they mean it!

Our office, WINDERMERE FINE PROPERTIES LAKE ARROWHEAD, opened its doors for business in May 2006. They started out with less than a handful of Realtors, plus the office staff. As we ALL know, the Real Estate market began to make a downturn around that time, so the fact that a newer business has survived in this market peaks volumes. Today, we have 11 Realtors working full-time to give our clients the best service possible.
