Lake Arrowhead really is close to "everything!" We're only an hour from Palm Springs and a little over an hour to Los Angeles or Orange County---and that is by automobile. But what about by plane? Lake 
Arrowhead ALSO has an airport and some folks can "FLY UP FOR AIR." However, the airport is private and, at this time, you need to have permission from the owner, MARK BAYLEY.
LAKE ARROWHEAD AIRPORT has hopes of becoming a premier transportation provider for the Lake Arrowhead Resort area, eventually. The runway is perfect for most general aircrafts and currently provides private business and recreation travel for firefighting, air evacuation and emergency landing for all public agencies in our local mountains. The airport is located 2.5 miles north of the Lake Arrowhead. This private airport has been in use for over 50 years and has plenty of historical significance (check out that link, it is an awesome tour).
