In the past month, I have been seeing a "real" surge in business; Real Estate business. I have five new buyers, four that found me on ACTIVERAIN. Though that is the icing on the cake, I'm more thrilled to see
the REAL ESTATE market picking up. Last week I showed property four days in a row, to four different couples, and I have two showing appointments this week. Business really is moving...slowly, but at least it is moving forward, I feel.
My clients, I'm experiencing, are still exteremely nervous about the economy, the wavering stock market and the pending presidential election, but they ARE serious buyers. These are not lookie-loos. They ARE cautious, but they are honestly interested in purchasing. They're combing through listings searching for the best value and here is what I'm hearing:
- I really feel it is a good time to buy
- I think the market is close to hitting the bottom, or has
- I don't want to miss out on a good buy
- Interest rates are still very good
I'm finding that buyers want to preview quite a few homes, more so than usual, and I am more than happy to show them all they need to see until they are comforabtle making "the right decision." Let's face it, purchasing a home in any market is a huge commitment, but especially when the market has been turned inside out and upside down. Besides showing them homes, I also provide them with as much information as possible, to help them decide. For instance:

- NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION

- REAL ESTATE TERMS & EXPLANATIONS
When a client is armed with information, they feel more comfortable about writing an offer.... And that's what we all want, isn't it... a happy client writing an offer!
INFORMATION IS POWER.

How fantastic! Business is picking up and buyers really are going to find great deals out there right NOW! I'm so happy you got four of your clients from Active Rain...all that blogging has certainly paid off! WAY TO GO KAT! I knew you were AWESOME, but really... did you have to be the BEST agent on the mountain?
The latest report from NAR is very optimistic. Sales are up and home prices are down -- more affordable! It certainly is a good time for buyers to consider buying. However, as you point out, they do need information so they can feel comfortable with their decision.
