This weekend was great in so many ways: The super company I work for, WINDERMERE Fine Properties/Lake Arrowhead, sponsored the ANTIQUE & CLASSIC WOODEN BOAT SHOW which was a giant 
success. AND, loads of fun. WINDERMERE Fine Properties had a booth lake side (right next to "The Queen") and we stayed busy from Saturday morning (8-ish), until we closed up shop each day! We got to meet new faces, view the awesome wooden boats and woodie cars, some took boat rides and we helped "new" clients with Real Estate needs. Plus, we got to watch June Lockhart (Lassie t.v. series years ago) present awards to the woodie car winners (see photo below).
HOWEVER, one of the most exciting times for me was when an AR-Friend, MICHELLE PIMENTEL, stopped by the WINDERMERE booth to say hello! She and I talk (blog) on AR 
quite often, but have never had a chance to meet. I can honestly say, Michelle is exactly like she is on AR; down-to-earth, gracious and a joy to talk too. THANK YOU so much Michelle for stopping by! I hope we meet again, soon, so we can "do lunch."
Michelle is a Home STAGER and I'm thrilled to now have a professional's name to pass on to clients. WE need her service up here (many of our old cabins & mansions are out of date) desperately. Michelle actually has a cabin here, so she knows what I am talking about.
....anyway, I just had to share this news and say "It is a small world" even though AR has grown to such a big world.

That is soo exciting. It is a lot of fun making connections on Active Rain. I just get excited when I get a phone call. I cannot imagine what is like to meet AR members in person.

I should have had cards and pamphlets, brochures, pens,T-shirts, the whole enchilada,...but NOoooooooooooo, I didn't! ahhhhhhhh...we both had a duh moment. LOL
I have really enjoyed meeting online friends in person. I have been frequenting an online chat for quilters for about 14 years, and at this point have met over a dozen friends from all over the place. It is wonderful to see how small the world really is.
