Okay, there is one thing about Lake Arrowhead I could do withOUT; pollen! Oh, I know, I know, without the pollen and the bees and the pollenating, we wouldn't have all the beautiful flowers and blooming trees
that we have. I KNOW! I love our diverse landscaping here...but the pollen does drive me crazy. Here, our pine trees are loaded with this fine (and I mean FINE) yellow/green bellowy powder that, literally, sticks to everything. Saturday morning I washed my nasty car, dried it off, did the windows, etc. Brought in the wet towels and tossed them in the washer, came back out and my car was COVERED with pollen.
And... we allgery sufferers--HOLY COW; we empty drug store shelves like there's no tomorrow. Many of us have to head to the doc' and get a STRONG perscription. That has helped me, thankfully. BUT, I think it makes me cranky.... at least I am not sneezing, though!
Okay, I've vented...now I'll go take a drive and enjoy the beauty (with my windows up).
WARNING: DO NOT WIPE YOUR EYES OR NOSE IF YOU GET THIS STUFF ON A FINGER....you'll be mighty sorry.

Good afternoon Kathy- My boyfriend has started using Zartec, it has really helped with his allergies. You might want to try it.
Thanks! I am currently using FLONASE NOSE SPRAY. I'll mention your friend's med to my doc and see what she has to say.
Picked up son from college in DC last weekend and noticed lots of cars had gobs of new shoots from trees pastered to them. Glad I don't have the allergy cinderblock around my neck but get on your medicine!
Andrew: Wish I didn't have the cinderblock around mine! LOL I have good friends in Arlington, here are you?
Hi Kathy,
Thanks for the heads up on the pollen issue in Lake Arrowhead! I don't do to well with it either. What I think is more troubling is the fact that this was Mother's Day Weekend, and what are YOU doing washing your car? You were supposed to leave the work to the hubby and offspring! LOL
LOL: I was going down to spend the day and night with my Mom, got up early and, oh well....a woman's work is never done. Right
