Spring is my favorite time of the year for many reasons: flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, weather is warming and trees are coming alive after a long winter. Now, one of the most beautiful trees on God's green earth
is waking up, The Dogwood Tree.
Today, on my way home, I decided to take a different route; up KUFFLE CANYON RD so I could have a "Dogwood" experience. And, I wasn't disappointed. For the next few weeks, take a few moments and take a short side-trip and view these wonderful flowers.

Here at ABOUT.COM you'll get a good explanation about Dogwood Trees: how many different kinds there are, where to plant and where not to plant.

Kathy,
Thanks for the reminder! I love driving through Kuffel Canyon when the Dogwoods are in bloom. Sooooo BEAUTIFUL! I think I will have to do that this weekend and it looks like it will be the perfect weather for it.
Kathy, thanks for the walk down memory lane. We had a dogwood tree in the back yard when I was growing up, and I always knew spring was just around the corner when it started blooming.
Michelle: You are so welcome! If you're up here this weekend, drop by and say hello.
I love dogwoods, and my family used to have a place in Arrowhead. I think they are so beautiful!
Sharon: Thanks for stopping by. They (dogwoods) are beautiful, aren't they? So where exactly did your parents live?
