Starting Monday, April 21, 2008 CALTRANS will begin a refurbishing project on the centerline of Hwy 18 at just above Lower Waterman Canyon Road to the junction of State Routes 18/138. CALTRANS will be refurbishing the "rumble" strips that are in place to alert motorist that they are outside the travel lane and prevent head-on collisions. Project begins at 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday thru Friday. Lane closures will occur, but one lane will be open in each direction. For MORE info, go to: CALTRANS ROAD PROJECTS

Kathy,
Thanks for the update on Hwy 18. While it is always a hassle traveling with the road construction going on, we know our Highway to the mountains is in dire need of some repairs. Replacing the center strips will be a great addition to the highway especially for those foggy days!
Michelle: You're so welcome. And so right about our roads needing some TLC.
Thanks for dropping by. I appreicate it.
