Most people who know me well, know I love quilting. And I really enjoy seeing other quilts sewn by people who have put hours and hours into each & every one. If you're like me, then you won't want to miss the Blue Jay Quilt Show this weekend.
Take a "walk" through Blue Jay Village this fall weekend and be awed by the fabulous QUILTS on display throughout our quaint little town.
This special event, the 3nd Annual Blue Jay Quilt Walk and Bra Challenge, is an outdoor quilt exhibit chalked full of 
antique & vintage quilts, along with many quilting demonstrations. There will also be a quilt auction which helps benefit Camp Paivika, an AbilityFirst Program. A wonderful friend and client of mine, Melanie Hermanson, will have over a dozen of her beautiful quilts on displayed. (No, that is not her in the picture on the right).
"Breast Friends: An Artful Bra Challenge" is co-sponsored by Soroptimists International of Rim of the World, who provide free mammograms for uninsured local women. Enough cannot be said about programs and events like these,

Mammograms should not be put off as a result of not having insurance. It's a great thing when you enjoy the things you do and you helping others at the same time. Good luck with the event.
