It's that time of the year again. Time for the our Lake Gregory Dragon Boat Races. WOOT! WOOT!
This year marks the 5th annual Dragon Boat Races. There will be 40-foot canoes all decked out in dragon heads and tails, led by the sounds made by the dragon boat drummers with their rhythmic drumbeats indicating the timing and frequency of paddling strokes.WHAT IS DRAGON BOATING? It's a boat of 12 paddlers, a drummer and a steers-person paddling to cross the finish line faster than their competition. These races began in Southern China and dragon boating is the fastest growing international team water sport.
Sunday, August 21: Now the Professional dragon boat teams take to the water at Lake Gregory on Sunday starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 3:30 p.m. Men's, women's, mixed, masters and BCS teams will compete.
Admission: Fee is $ 10.00/ boat per person includes gate fee 40 foot canoes 250 meter race teams of 12-bring you own or be assigned Race is at 10:00 AM

The Lake Gregory Dragon Boat Races look like a great event. I think this would be a very exciting and I would love to see the race... maybe you can take some video.
