What better place for the kids to spend their summer then at The Boys & Girls Club of The Mountain Communities? There is so much for them to do, all healthy and fun. And, it's not only summer. There are programs all year round.
Recently, the club had an outing to Rim Bowling in Crestline. For a few bucks ($6.00) they bowled and
had pizza. But there are so many other things this fab' club does to keep the kids busy.
- After-School Programs, Monday thru Friday held at three locations: Iacono Club, Crestline, Lake Arrowhead Elementary, Lake Arrowhead Lake Gregory Elementary
- The Club offers a Mountain Scholarship WIA, which is a government funded two (2) year scholarship that serves older kids, ages 16-21. This program includes Graduation, Application Assistance, Career planning, Communications and Interviewing skills, Resume Writing, and Life Skills to becoming self-sufficient.
- Project Learn: This program helps reinforce and enhance skills and knowledge that the young people learn at school & home through "high-yield" learning activities, which includes leisure reading, writing activities, homework help and games like Scrabble®. This program emphasizes collaborations between Club staff, parents and school personnel.
