And, since I am knocking on the age door of 60, our local hospital and medical center are more important to me than ever.
The latest information is that Mountains Community Hospital has an ALL-NEW Website. They have added a newsletter you can subscribe too, an awesome resource center & pollen conditions and MUCH more. So check it out and spend some time getting acquainted with it.
Mountains Community Hospital was built in 1951 (good year--I was born then!). Its a full-service hospital and birthing center. There is a physician on duty 24/7, 365 days a year at their Emergency Room. They also offer the only obstetric services from Big Bear to Crestline.
Range of Services provided by Mountains Community Hospital:
- Obstetrics
- Medical/Surgical
- Skilled Nursing
- Post-acute Care Rehabilitation and Respite Care
- Emergency Services
Out patient services:
- Laboratory
- Cardiac stress testing
- Radiology (CT, ultrasound, bone densitometry, and mammography).
- Physical therapy
- Occupational therapy
- Speech therapy.
Licensed by the State of California, MCH is Medicare and Medi-Cal certified. They are one of the few small rural hospitals accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health care Organizations.
