How many of you own a Blue Tooth or other hands-free cell phone doo-dad? When they first came out, I remember seeing a woman in a grocery store with this thingamagig in her ear, yapping away to HERSELF. I was thinking, "Boy, she must be a busy person." Now looking back, I'm thinking she PROBABLY was. And she was way ahead of me! I resisted the hands-free idea for quite some time, for the simple fact I didn't want another electronic contraption to figure out, to deal with, worry about it running down or another expense. To tell the truth, I was one of the last Realtors I know to even get a cell phone (2000).
BUT I finally caved and it has been one of the best investments I've made in the past two years. The most important aspect of using a hands-free device is, of course, SAFETY when you're driving. IF you MUSTtake a call when behind the wheel, this saves fishing around your car seat or in shirt pocket or through your purse while you have one hand on the wheel.
It's coming...we'll ALL most likely have to have one eventually in our business. You may want to start shopping now. Ask you cell carrier what they have to offer.

When I first saw people with these blue tooth head sets, I thought "how silly can fashion trends get!". Now I have one and find it extremely helpful when I am in the car or multi tasking at my desk. They really are useful and not just fashion trend.
Great post.
Donna: Like me---you waited til 2000 to get the cell. I'm like that with all TRENDS, though this isn't one that's fading. THANKS so much!
Brad: I, too, find them useful. I don't always use it, but IF I have a lot going on, it's plugged in my ear. I STILL pull over to talk--I'm too old to try and do both at once-drive and cell talk.
Jon: It is interesting how we all have different takes. And every gadget isn't for every one. Thanks so much for your feedback.
David: If I'm with clients, I don't answer my cell regardless of I have my Blue Tooth on. Thanks for dropping by.
Mary: LOL I had trouble getting used to mine, also. We're not alone. But it isn't for you, then you don't NEED it. I'm sure you do more than fine without that dang thing.
I actually have two...but one now sits on the counter and one is now my wife's. I changed phones to a Treo Palm style and they don't work really well with that model....Treo likes to SELF ANSWER when using a bluetooth....that can get bad.
I liked it when I had it...made life simpler...but I did notice the other day looking at some pictures that had been taken of me that it really DOES jump right out and that is the first thing people notice...
Some good..some bad, I guess.
I have to agree with you Kathy. When I first saw them I did not care for them too much. But I absolutely love it in the car. Outside of the car I don't use it too much but I have to have it for driving.
Jeffery: I know what you mean about the TREO and its self answer. Gotta still work out bugs, I guess. Thanks for sharing.
AL: I agree...more stuff to deal with. We're damned it if do, damned if we don't.
WooHoo: haven't heard of the Platronics. Congrat's on the quit puffing thing. I still PULL most of the time.
Kimberly: Does make driving easier, doesn't it. I see more and more folks (all ages) with one stuck in their ear. LOL
