I thought I'd share a fewof my favorite eateries in, and around, Sonora, in Tuolumne County, California. I LOVE to eat. Now this doesn't make me an expert at restaurants...I just know what I enjoy. FOOD! When you're in the area, check them out.

- Fun and casual and the biggest and BEST onion rings and burgers I've ever eaten are at DIAMONDBACK GRILLI in Sonora. They don't have a website, yet, BUT don't let that stop you. OMG, the food is ALWAYS worth the wait--there usually is a wait. Located at 110 S Washington St, Sonora, CA 209-532-6661. l MAP TO DIAMONDBACK GRILL . They have another (NEW) location right across the street. Kick back and casual.
- Dining at its FINEST at SEVEN SISTERS . This gorgeous restaurant is located inside BLACK OAK CASINO in Tuolumne. ALWAYS call for reservation!!! NOT very casual, but oh so delicious. MAP TO CASINO AND SEVEN SISTERS
- OUTLAWS BarBQ is to die for if you're the bar-b-cue-type. Dress casual and wear something that stretches in the waist because you'll get more than enough to eat. YUMMY. See their site for the menu and location (in Sonora) at OutLawsBarBQ MAP TO OUTLAWS BARBQ SUPER FUN and casual!
- COVER'S APPLE RANCH has a website that will even make your mouth water: COVER'S APPLE RANCH Absolutely the FRESHEST pies, pastries, cookies, breads and sandwiches you'll bite into anywhere. NO additives! Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner (reservations for dinner). Perfect place to go and eat for the entire family. Casual and fun.
Now that is only a few of the MANY, MANY great places to eat here in Tuolumne County. Like I said above, these are MY fav's.

Thanks for sharing your favourite eateries with us, Kat. They all sound like they have fantastic ambience. Do they have things for vegetarians too ? A clients parents showered me with gifts today...a homemade 'moose clock', tons of zucchinis, a bunch of fresh beets, red leaf lettuce (all from their garden) and the most beautiful potted variegated shamrock with small pink flowers. I was so touched.
Anyhow, tonight I took one of the zucchinis, sliced it down the middle and hollowed a little groove in the center, then I spooned in my favourite vegetarian tomato sauce and baked it in the oven at 400 F for 35 minutes. Delicious !!
hope you have a great weekend,
Jo
Yummy.... sounds good, Jo-Anne. I am having (cooking right now) tofu with soy sauce frying up and cousous (roasted garlic and olive oil) to put it over.
Most of the places I eat have something good for veggie folks. Back Street Grill has terrific veggie burgers. I CAN always find something...believe me--my hips will tell you that.
Thanks for stopping in while I cook...
mmm, sounds good, Kat. I'm into cherries and nectarines lately. They're great snacks to blog by. ((-:

I like that...eat dessert first! That's my kind of place!
