Always worth repeating when we're having MAJOR storms. Be careful out there.
WEATHER IN LAKE ARROWHEAD. You can actually set this for any other town, but this one is for Lake Arrowhead.
In my car, I always keep an extra pair of shoes/boots, socks, mitten/gloves, blanket, small shovel, flashlight, couple bottles of water and a few snack bars. You just never know what can happen during one of Mother Nature's fits.
CALTRANS California Department of Transportation has one of the best sites to find out about road conditions. Just type in the highway/freeway and it displays the current conditons. This is great for the mountains! Click HERE to view ALL California Roads. If you're stopped by the California Highway Patrol during a snow storm, or even after its past, you MAY be ask to show your "Car chains.) There are time you MUST chain up, so just be prepaared ahead of time.
LAKE ARROWHEAD VILLAGE WEBCAM A fun site to actually see what IT LOOKS LIKE in Lake Arrowhead (The Village). I use it to see how crowded it is before I head over there to eat or shop. :-)

Kat- Actually, I was up on Sunday to clean the cabin, and that wind was howling and the rain was coming down so hard. I was hoping for snow, but I'm somewhat glad I didn't get stuck having to shovel my way out. I think I got off the mountain just in the nick of time! Wheeeeew!
