Arrowhead got it's name (formally called Little Bear Valley).
At a mile high elevation, it's an easy drive from any Southern California City such as Los Angeles or Orange County or Palm Springs. And there's always something going on, be it at the Lake Arrowhead or Blue Jay Villages, to a movie or trails for hiking in the San Bernardino National Forest.
