This is my post from last year, but I think it's perfect for EVERY Flag Day, like today!

The following are the DAYS TO FLY THE AMERICAN FLAG:


  • January 1 (New Year's Day)
  • January 20 (Inauguration Day--every 4th year)
  • 3rd Monday in January (Martin Luther King, Jr Day)
  • February 12 (Lincoln's Birthday)
  • February 22 (Washington's Birthday)
  • 3rd Monday in February (President's Day--varies)
  • 1st Thursday in May (National Day of Prayer)
  • 3rd Saturday in May (Armed Forces Day)
  • Last Monday in May (Memorial Day)
  • JUNE 14th (FLAG DAY)
  • July 4th (Independence Day)
  • 1st Monday in September (Labor Day)
  • September 11th (Patriot Day)
  • 2nd Monday in October (Columbus Day)
  • November 11th (Veteran's Day)
  • 4th Thursday in November (Thanksgiving Day)
  • December 25th (Christmas Day)

Thanks Kate. I appreciate you putting them all together in one post. I booked marked it so I will add the dates in when I get home. Of course ours flys on most days in the summer.
