Once you decide to buy a Lake Arrowhead home, the next step you need to take is finding a lender/mortgage broker. Your lender will help you figure out: 1. How much you can afford. 2. How much your mortgage payments will be. 3. Give you a Pre-Approval letter so that when we find you the "perfect" home, I can submit that letter along with your offer.
Though you may chose to use any lender you wish when purchasing your Lake Arrowhead home, quite often my newer clients have not spoken to one when they decide to start their Lake Arrowhead home search. And, since we live in a resort area, and 90% of my clients pop up on weekends, I know I can "almost" ALWAYS reach one of these fine folks/lenders (listed below) to get my buyers pre-approved by cell or email.
Does it matter if you use a local lender? Not entirely. The plus, however, with using a "local" lender is that they know the area. They know how different our homes and cabins can be compared to "regular" homes off the mountain. They can be reached most weekends.
