Once you decide to buy a Lake Arrowhead home, the next step you need to take is finding a lender/mortgage broker. Your lender will help you figure out: 1. How much you can afford. 2. How much your mortgage payments will be. 3. Give you a Pre-Approval letter so that when we find you the "perfect" home, I can submit that letter along with your offer.

Though you may chose to use any lender you wish when purchasing your Lake Arrowhead home, quite often my newer clients have not spoken to one when they decide to start their Lake Arrowhead home search. And, since we live in a resort area, and 90% of my clients pop up on weekends, I know I can "almost" ALWAYS reach one of these fine folks/lenders (listed below) to get my buyers pre-approved by cell or email.

Does it matter if you use a local lender? Not entirely. The plus, however, with using a "local" lender is that they know the area. They know how different our homes and cabins can be compared to "regular" homes off the mountain. They can be reached most weekends.

I think everyone in the country (maybe nation) has heard, or read, about our recent storms here in Southern California. At least I assume that because when we here in SOCAL have a big storm, it IS big news. Anyway, since it's the holiday season and many of you may be headed up to the San Bernardino Mountains to celebrate with friends and family, you should check road conditions to find out if any of the ones you're traveling on, are open/closed. Many areas have experienced severe flooding. (These pictures were taken at Willow Creek & Hwy 173 in Lake Arrowhead & Tavern Bay Beach), by my son, Jason.

DECEMBER 10, 7:00 PM: "HOLIDAY STRINGS & COOKIES CONCERT" will be presented by the students of the ARROWHEAD ARTS ASSOCIATION. This exciting event will take place at Mary Putnum Henck (MPH) School in Lake Arrowhead.  The concert begins at 7:00 and is FREE to all. There will be a pre-show event with music, raffle & desserts held at 6.30. The proceeds from this concert will be used defray costs associated with the Drummers trip in May 2011 to Williamsburg, Virginia.
